By using Papr, you agree to these terms.
In these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Barebones Supplements LLC (Connecticut, USA).
Papr is operated by Barebones Supplements LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use Papr.
How Papr Works
Papr processes PDF files locally in your browser. Your files and annotations are not uploaded to our servers. Your browser may download fonts and OCR/PDF assets from third-party CDNs. You are responsible for saving your work and maintaining your own backups.
Privacy
Papr does not collect or store your PDF files or run analytics. We store some data in your browser (IndexedDB and localStorage) for session recovery, annotations, and preferences like theme. OCR language packs are stored locally after download. This data stays on your device and can be removed by clearing site data. If we enable advertising in the future, advertising partners may collect data as described in our Privacy Policy. Ad choices would be managed through Google's consent message where shown.
No Warranty
Papr is provided "as-is" without any warranties. We don't guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific needs.
Limitation of Liability
We are not responsible for any data loss, file corruption, or damages arising from your use of Papr. Use at your own risk.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Papr for any illegal purposes or to process unlawful content.
Intellectual Property
Papr and its original content are owned by Pearson Byrnes and licensed to Barebones Supplements LLC. Your files remain entirely yours — we claim no rights to any documents you create or edit.
Third-Party Services
Our Contact Us feature uses Web3Forms to deliver messages. The app also loads fonts and OCR/PDF assets from third-party CDNs (Google Fonts, unpkg.com, cdn.jsdelivr.net). If we introduce advertising in the future, ads may be provided by Google AdSense and ad preferences would be managed through Google's consent message where shown. These providers may receive standard request data such as IP address and user agent, and their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Advertising
Papr does not currently display ads. If we introduce ads in the future, they may be provided by Google AdSense to support the free availability of our service. Non-personalized ads would be shown by default, and you can opt in to personalized ads through Google's consent message where shown.
Ad content is provided by third parties and does not represent an endorsement by Papr. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or opinions expressed in any advertisements. Clicking on ads may take you to external websites governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
If ads are enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads depending on your choices. See our Privacy Policy for details on data collection by our advertising partners and how to opt out of personalized ads.
Open Source
Papr is built using open source libraries including PDF.js, pdf-lib, Tesseract.js, and others. We are grateful to the open source community and comply with all applicable licenses.
Termination
We reserve the right to restrict access to Papr for violations of these terms. You may stop using Papr at any time. Since all processing is local, simply closing your browser ends your session.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict of law rules.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Papr after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
