How to Use Bookmarks

Bookmarks make long PDFs easier to navigate. In Papr, you can add bookmark anchors on the page, organize them into nested sections, and export them with your PDF.

Why Bookmarks Matter

  • Jump quickly to important sections in long documents
  • Create a chapter-like navigation structure for reports and manuals
  • Improve review workflows for contracts and policy documents
  • Keep navigation embedded when you export

Step-by-Step: Working with Bookmarks

Step 1: Open Bookmarks Panel

In the top toolbar, open Pages and click Bookmarks. This opens the sidebar in bookmarks mode.

Bookmark Best Practices

  • Use consistent naming: mirror your document heading hierarchy.
  • Group by sections: create sub-bookmarks under top-level chapters.
  • Check link targets: click through bookmarks once before export.
